Well, i live in Portugal. In Summer it can be very hot, so you better stick around coastal cities and not go to the interior of the country, otherwise you might get seriously sunburnt or something alike. Best places where to spend vacations in Portugal are the central region, specially this little town called Óbidos, it's unique and has a lot of history to offer.

i have been to portugal twice, once in may and once in october, in may it was extremely hot, however it wasnt like in england it wasnt sticky, so you could actually do stuff. the people are some of nicest in he world, very polite and helpful. the food is also great. basically everything is good quality. i recommend going to albufura if you want beach and amusement parks, however if you want more culture then lisbon is the place to go, as it has a great history
