do you get one child tax credit for each child or do you get one only no matter how many kids you have? also what is the maximum you can make and still get a earned income credit.... what are some credits that a normal family would be able to get? (no business credits, and we rent not own our house.....)

Its for each child. I am not sure what the maximum you can make for earned income credits. I think it is high 20,000. You get child care credit. You get teachers credit if you are teacher. There is also a credit for retirements account. If you have one, the government pay you its income base, you may want to check out IRS. Gov for more info.
