Any softwarwes to repair memory card..

Im using an SD card of sandisk.. its of 1GB.. the prob is.. when i tried to recover the deleted files.. via memory card reader.. the recovering software didnt respond for a long time.. so i ended up the sotware.. and then i put the memory card into camera.. now it asks for fomatin.. but when i accept it.. it doesnt even format it nor read it.. i think the memory card is unreadable.. coz it is not at all detected by any softwares.. plz help me to repair and recover the files and photos in the card.. the files were in the format jpeg.. and tiff.. also video files were also there in it.. name some software names or some downloadable site address..
