can anybody tell me exact number of Indian Languages...and if possible their names also... I guess it is 20.. but dont know the names... Let me try.. Hindi Sanskrit, Gujarati Marathi Malyalam, Telugu Tamil Punjabi Devnagri konkani bengali kannad kashmiri oriya manipuri urdu English Rajsthani assamese Thats all i know....i guess these all are main languages... and each states have their sub divisions in different languages.. like I am From gujarat and i know there are some variations in gujarati.. i.e kathiyavadi, amdavadi etc... pls tell which is ur language????

well all i can say that is u left Tulu, Konkini.... Theese r the languages that r sspoken in karnataka.... I m an andhra guy,,, So my mother tongue is TELUGU.... And it is the second most spoken language in INDIA

It's a pity nobody answered your question. I am not Indian, so I can't answer you. At least, I'll bring your question to surface, in order to see if somebody pays attention to it now.
