Which payment method do you prefer online

I am interested to hear from you all out there, as to which payment method you use if buying anything off the internet. I have heard of paypal and wonder if you all find that one of the best to use, or if not why not, and which do you prefer and why. This is a genuine request for infomation as I am doing research to find out which method from different countries you prefer.
