Did anyone like Riley on BTVS?

I've joined Buffy message boards and EVERYONE dogs RILEY! THEy hate him! Now, I must admit, he was my least favorite of Buffy's serious bfs. But I still REALLY LIKED HIM. For once, a nice, mostly normal, no-issues bf for Buffy! I think most people hated him because he was buffy's next bf after Angel and people weren't going to like anyone after Angel, by the time her and spike heated up, people were over it, so they liked him...i must admit the beginning of their relationship was very intense and exciting.
