What are the ultimate ingredients for success?

This post is not about food but it's the best analogy I have right now. I love to bake and my cakes have the ultimate ingredients; butter, sugar, eggs. It's ok to substitute, use what's in the house, but I promise it will not be the same. I am wondering if success takes the same attention to detail, if there are certain elements that must be present. What are these elements? What are the ultimate ingredients for success?

You are right; I think to have any success in any area of your life you must take a strong interest in it. If you get a chance to see the movie "The Secret" watch it, it's on YouTube. It talks about how what we focus on expands and I think it is so true. Thanks for commenting.

it's not necessarily all about self-help. there's more to just a number of 'keys to success'. would you like to discover it yourself??? read purpose driven life by rick warren :)

Is that not a great book? The first one I bought, I went on a long trip to visit a friend and took it so I could read in transit. I then left the book with my friend because I got so excited about it, I needed to share. Then when I got back home I went and purchased my 2nd copy. It's one of the best books I've ever read. My understanding though, is that once it's decided what my purpose is, I then still need certain elements to put that in place. Thanks for your comments.

i think great sucess is possible only in the real world not in the thoughts and dreams at the same time a dream is needed otherwise what will you carry on so for sucess you must be very very conscious of your goal and always take a move only for that goal if you dont do so you will get thousand of new ideas from your own mind and you will work for none dont forget to comment

I absolutely see your point and I am sometimes guilty of working on too many projects at one time, some of which has nothing to do with my goals. As you said, the dream is necessary, but everything after that must be geared towards the dream/goal. Thanks for your comments.

I think there are several ingredients for success, however, for me "Focus", "Persevere", and "Work" in adequate doses are the ultimate ingredient for success.
