Are you a duck? Why?

In keeping with the spirit of Christmas or whatever it is that makes it OK to start using up that quarter second of your life to look at kindergarten level "discussions"- I thought it'd be nice to retaliate, and generate responses. I need to see illiteracy in all its glory, squeaking across the internet like some mighty rampant gerbil.

At last, a duck! All these humans! I thought I was never going to see civilization again!

I wanted to respond to this topic with the grace and beauty of a duck. I thought perhaps I could wing it and somehow make it work. No matter how hard I try I cannot change who I am. With much regret I cannot reply for I am only a goose.

Well, at least you're a bird, not one of those there new fangled people critters. Amazing how unambitious some people are...

Hm. Humans also don't lay golden eggs. Perhaps it just hasn't occured to them yet. As a goose, you have at least avoided that ignominious downmarket look associated with them.

Ambition requires a certain amount of imagination, does it not? Perhaps as humans they were never taught to spread their wings and fly? Or maybe they are afraid of strong wind currents? I am just a simple goose, too simple to be afraid.

I am not a duck because I do not quack. I am also not a duck because water does not roll off of my back. *laugh* I am not a duck, but I greatly enjoy the story of the Ugly Duckling who one day became a swan. I am a human, but I relate to dogs more closely than humans, in some senses. Dogs are so loyal, loving, compassionate and give you unconditional love. They, of all animals, are my favorites. Ducks aren't bad, though. LOL ^_~

Yeah, I applied to become a grey squirrel, and was knocked back on the basis that I'd be a really ugly squirrel. Can't fault the logic...

If you answer yes to these questions, you're a duck... 1-Do you swim? yes 2-Do you fly? yes in airplane 3-Do you like fish? yes, flounder 4-Are you sitting? yes (as in sitting duck) 5-Ever hear disco? yes (you're a disco duck) Guess I'm a duck too. :)

I've been hoping someone would take the scientific approach. Just think of all the poor fools, lost in delusion, not knowing they're ducks. Score is currently: 3 Humans, 1 Goose, articulated. 2 Ducks. Now, about this breeding program....
