Store Brand Vs Name Brand, shopping, frugal, store brands

We have been trying to live a little more frugally and lately have purchased many store brand products. Today I found it quite challenging to my taste buds when I used a store brand mayonaiise. Hellman's mayo has been my all time favorite. My husband agrees that it is the best mayonaiise. The jingle says it all, "Bring out the Hellmans and bring out the best". My first mistake was when I tasted the store brand mayo. Yuck. Not my Hellmans. Well, maybe once I get it mixed with the hard boiled eggs. Nope, still not the same. Maybe hubby won't notice if I add a little salt, surely the field greens that I've topped it with will help. To mine I added olives. I love egg and olive sandwiches. Much to my dismay, I could still taste the cheap mayonaiise. We really don't use mayonaiise that often. My husband uses it more than I do. Maybe we could afford to spend extra on Hellmans. My tastebuds agree. Sometimes taste is more important than saving a buck.

There are some things that you just have to go name brand on. I try to save money by buying store brand by sometimes it just will not do.I tried buying store brand syrup and no thank you. It is just to watery and not that good. So, I stick to the name brand there.Somethings you just can not tell.
