I have promised everyone who responded to Discussion on Crisis Loan that I would update them well I got a call today to say that they will pay the first month rent but not the Deposit so I said Fine at least something 2 Days ago I was informed that 3 Families alone in this Street who have never worked received a Crisis loan before Christmas so they could have a good Christmas I think this Christmas I might try that as they received a lot more then what I am now getting for first month Rent The awsome thing is I told the truth what I wanted the Crisis Loan for and had a genuine reason where these just said they had no money for Christmas and got it no problem So that is how the System works here End Result I receive first month Rent no Bond Money but I guess it is a start

You'll have a better #christmas next year, all of this will be over, you'll have your new home and will not need a crisis loan, as you will not be in crisis anymore - unless you want a decent Christmas, that is.

Grrrrrrrrrr to the Benefits System. Ten smilies with hammers. I'm glad you got the first month's rent and managed to put the rest of the money together. It is good to be truthful. Some day I hope you'll be rewarded for your honesty. You should know what to do when Christmas comes.;) I'm with you. Hugs.

Hi there, I work in the field of supported housing with young people and one of their options if they cannot get a council house may mean going private rented which means getting a bond and of course rent in advance, yes unfortunately the social will only help out with the rent. Have you heard of Centrepoint, the national homeless charity? They do a bond deposit scheme, they are a national organisation but don't know if they do the bond deposit scheme in every area, in our area for the young people I have tried to access this for it entails an application form and then an interview, yes you have to pay this pack but I think you can come to a reasonable and manageable amount that you can afford, like I say I don't know if this is in your area, might be worth looking on the Centrepoint website to see where they are, well it's 8:59 Centrepoint I think, and they will best be able to also tell you their eligibility criteria, it's not a guarantee but worth looking into. Hope this info helps! Good luck!

I'm glad you have some sort of assistance. As you said it's better than nothing. I think some people know how to work the system by telling lies. I think it is always better to tell the truth. You may not get much money now but the next time you try you may get more. I hope things will be looking up for you in the future though.
