What is your price range for jeans?

I was at the mall today and found a pair of jeans for $128. My jaw dropped and I quickly put them back on the rack. Ok, when it comes to blue jeans I pay $20 or less. Yes, I'm cheap. I'm curious after seeing that price tag though...what is the average price that other people pay for jeans these days? Is $128 too much?

Oh my...my jaw just dropped too. Never ever would I pay $128 for jeans. I am cheap too though, lol. Like you, I never pay more than $20 for a pair of jeans. I don't shop the more expensive stores, so I can't tell you if it is average or not. But I think my daughter (23) used to pay about $90 for certain brand jeans several years ago, before she had her son. It's insane to pay that much for any article of clothing unless maybe it's a good winter coat.

Wow that is very expensive! Honestly I am very cheap when it comes to jeans as well. I cringe if the price is over 20. Only if I really really like them will I spend more than 20, and we're talking 30 tops. Working is hard, and I don't want to spend an entire paycheck on like 3 pairs of jeans. But I do know some people who see $60 on a pair of jeans and think they're getting a deal. I guess it depends how hard you work for your money, and how much you make.

I myself am an under $20 jeans buyer too. I mean it is not like there is anything wrong with not spending an arm and a leg for a pair of pants.

If I could actually find a pair of jeans that fit me, I would pay $128.00 for them. I am a size 6 or 8 depending on the name brand, and they never ever fit in the waist. I have a booty, so when I get jeans, the waist is soooo big, like 5 inches of space. I hate that. A pair of jeans that would fit me would be priceless.

have you tried gloria vanderbilt (sp?) jeans, they usually fit pretty well with a bigger booty than waste, lol, I have that problem too, I also find that hipsters fit alot better then normal jeans, they are mainly in the juniors dept. at most stores

My limit on jeans is about $60 I dont think anything over that is worth it to me lol. My favorite pair of jeans I got on sale for $10, at a store called Charlotte Russe. Some jeans just arent worth it.

No more than $40, unless they're amazingly awesome jeans. I'll admit that I would like a pair of Lucky Brand jeans, but I've been looking in outlet stores for those.

I would never pay that amount for any single article of clothing. I wouldn't call myself cheap, but rather frugal. I'm always looking for a bargain. But, when it comes to jeans, I have found a couple of different brands that fit me and my style and will just by that type of jean. I will wait until they go on sale and typically pay between $25 to $30 a pair.

The most I have ever paid for a pair of jeans was $50 but that was when I was 15. Many many years ago lol. I was so upset that the first time they were washed somebody stole them off the clothesline. So now I only buy jeans for the $20 and less. They still fit the same but don't have the tag at the back that declares them a namebrand.

Ok, you are my kind of girl. Cheap! Ha ha, yes it is true. I'm with you, $20-$25 is my limit. I have found some great jeans in thrift stores that fit me just fine from $1.50 to $3.00 but it took some looking. I just can't justify paying $100 or more for freakin' jeans!

I shop at the thrift store now. I used to think that clothes and things were important but now I really don't get into all of that. As long as I'm not naked that is all that matters to me. Infact I kinda have a uniform because there is no variety in the style of clothes that I wear.

128$ for a pair of jeans? that is too funny! I do pay a little more than 20$ for jeans though. maybe 35-40 tops, which is rare, really. I like the fancy doo dads sometimes, for a little style, but that is just me. generally, it is the walmart variety. regular jeans are jeans!

Yes, $128 is way too much. I doubt if I could find jeans for under 20 bucks, though. I lie Gap jeans, which average 50 to 70 dollars. I think that's reasonable.

I don't wear jeans really, but if I did I would never spend more than 60 or 70$ on a pair.

for me it really depend on the style and the quality of the jeans. i dunt want to pay for jean so expensive. i am willing to pay the most is 50 or 60 dollars. some people when they shop they only look at the brand and they dont care about the price but some other people they concern about the price so much. for me when i but jeans i need the one feel comfortable for me when i wear it

I'll spend up to $200 for jeans but honestly if there was a pair of jeans that fit me so great they were like foldover yoga pants I would probably spend more for them :)

My jeans cost about $70. I know I could buy $20 ones but i'm so picky about the fit (I have a big butt and tiny waist lol) so I figure its worth it- plus obviously i'm going to get a lot of wear out of them.

I generally spend between $80-100 Canadian for jeans. I have problems finding jeans that fit me properly through the waist and hips, so I usually spend more for my jeans than other items of clothing. The most I have ever spent is about $150, but I have had those jeans for about 5 years and have gotten a lot of wear out of them, so they were worth every penny. If I ever find a good pair of jeans for under $50 that give me the right fit, I would be really happy.

i agree that jeans do cost a lot! however, i'm guilty to spending the money on them. the last 2 pairs i bought were $125 each! i hate spending that much onthem, but they flatter my figure. I guess thats why i only own 4 pairs! if i could find a pair that's less expensive, trust me i'd purchase them in bulk! But $128 is very high! Sometimes it worth it when you wear them religiously.
