Exams of the children do the parents feel the stress? when the children are preparing for exam nowadays and going for exams the parents feel really stressed out specially the mothers as they wonder whether their kids will do well they will follow all the questions etc, it is a real stressful period it is more nowadays as compared to the olden days when we were kids our parents did not have so much stress when we were in school as this is the age of competition what do youll think?

Yeah I agree with you mate. Whenever we have exams our parents are so much worried and anxious about our performance. Today's world is of cut-throat competition. Every parent wants his child's future to be safe. Whereas the earlier days were not the same way as it is today. But according to me those days were much better than today as we are under stress right from Kindergarten.

I know for sure that parents are stressed. Not only that they manage to convey some of their anxieties to their children making the situation worse. The most important thing to check is if your child has learnt the subject well and can use the info in real life situations. Even if he does not score the best possible grades he is more likely to be successful in the workplace than a person who learns by rote. Most employers are of this. Examinations are like lottery. Since the odds are not that severe we have a feeling that they are very fair in grading students.

I think parents feel stressed out especially around exam times when they have unreasonablly high expectations from their children. All children want to do well, but forcing them to study something they have a dislike for tends to make them do even worse in that subject (especially in india where too much stress is given on book studies and not enough on over all development). I would rather have my child do reasonally well in school but be happy studying and learning new things rather than be able to recite his textbook backwords and forwards without looking.

AS a teacher and a parent of a former student from my own school, I can honestly say I did not feel the stress of my son.

I think that life in general is more stressful nowadays, whereas we should all just try to take a deep breath and relax as much as we can. Too much importance is placed on things like this, exams that will probably not really end up mattering that much in the sense of where the child will end up in life. I do believe that parents do feel more stress about a child's schoolwork and grades than in the past. I hear of lots of parents who won't allow their children to get anything less than A's or B's, and I worry abotu how much stress that causes not only for the children but for the parents who worry about such high standards.

Yes, but this is only for those parents who want their children to make good/best scores in their exams. Also for those parents who want their kids to be the top boy/girl in the school.

i am totaly agree with you competition has been increasing day by day, every one wants her childern to achieve more in their exmas to produce good result, for this purpose they must work hard to acheive thier goals.if they work hard they surely get stress as well as their parents.so their is no solution of stress in this compitative world

in this competative world its good that parents think for their children. but may a times, its seen that parents take too much tension and make it a issue.they even pressurize their children too score good marks.this is not a good practice. paying attension is good but making it a issue is not good

I also notice that to some parents that they are also feel stress before their childrens exams. I feel so impress with such parents for they always think what best for their kids. Not unlike before that the kids alone should worry about their exams.

i do agree with you about the stress that been faced between the kids and the parents. some parents really count on their kids performance but i have to remind for all parent, your kids are not robotic. they just human and the cutey that need lots of love, support and guidance. there is one thing that we could do about it...let educate our kids in the right path since they are so little by having lots of fun while they are learning.so, they can learn easily, more passion and no stress to achieve a goal cuz they really love on it.hence, they won't feel stress on the competition cuz they are bright enough! :) if the kids keep pushing to study hard they will be stressed ever since they are kids and it will make them in non-stable emotion when they grow up. how sad it is... and the worst part is when they grow up we could not control them any more and they won't feel the passion of study since they had enough when they were kids..

When childrens are going to write their exams, parents should feel stress that their children should get more marks in the examination. One cannot tell that they are feeling stress on it bcoz they may feel good if their students got good marks

Well its really stressful for parents while relating to education of kids. We should understand aapart form competition kids are overloaded with lot of matter to be studied than compared to the time when we were at school. Apart from all these all the kids do not have same IQ level so they have different levels of taking the studies seriously. To some extent parents also contibute to pressurize kids in studies due to ego between the parents as no parent would like his kid to be bad in studies. Hence stress is really required but kids should not be kept aware of it.
