Why is there a option?

We add photos and there is a option to add a comment. Why doesn't anyone put a comment there. Are pictures not good enough? Can we start looking at the "photos" and add comments please?

I think, and im not sure, but in order to comment on a photo you need to be on that persons friend list, unless its a photo you uploaded for your discussion. I have several photos in my profile and no comments
