Why is man cruel with animals?

I have just read the sad news that three Pharoah hounds (klieb tal-fenek) were horrifically hanged in a farm in Gozo. Why is man so cruel with animals?

People are the worst animals there are. They torcher all kinds of creatures including humans for delight and money only. They should hang the people the same way.

Man is superiour to the animals or so he feels. I only wish that before he did this act, those 3 dogs bit him and cut him to pieces. Maybe then the dogs would have been killed after that. But that what I call die with dignity!

Man is in general cruel. Man is selfish and only cares for himself.

i don't really know..think they think they are superiour because we are bigger....but i don't understand them...i hate them...i love animals..:)
