How to advice my frend

i have this frend. he is 25years old but he did not have his own car ( except motor )..his own house and he is working a bill collector. he used to be a technician in one of the shopping complex but due to alot of pressure..he resign. the main problem is that i wan him to study again. i know i cannot force him but at least he got a cert.he is to ego to listen to me..how am i going to tell him that getting a cert is very important. even though he did not like to study..he can learn english..his eng is very poor..
