Working on Plumbing

Have you ever done any plumbing work on your house? I once contacted a plumber and asked how much he would charge me to do the plumbing on my house. He gave me a price, which I considered kind of high, so I decided to try it myself. After talking with the building inspector, he said that I could do the plumbing myself if it was on my property, so I did all the plumbing from scratch and it passed inspection. I was proud of myself being that I am not a plumber by trade. We never had any problems with the plumbing in that house.
