workers need a shorter workweek?

do you think 30 t0 35 hour workweek would improve both our society and productivity of the workforce?

hi,its true by having appropriate time will give more productivity..but 35 hours are some what below the optimum.increase some more hours.

Thank you for your response. Millions of americans are overworked, overscheduled and just plain stressed out. We're putting longer hours on the job now than we did in the 1950's, despite promises of a coming age of leisure before the year 2000. In fact, we're working more than medieval peasants did, and more than the citizens of any other industrial country.

I like an idea of 30-35 hrs workweek, if I would work for someone else. I a working for myself and my work weeks are not stable. I am not counting.
