Are media abusing their power in influencing people???

In a way yes. Sharing videos is alright if you own that video and it will not affect the other people privacy. Sharing video of other people without permission, I think it is already an abuse on sharing videos on-line. The companies that operates the on-line video sharing should strictly filter the submitted videos to avoid violation of other people privacy rights.
