why sky is blue but not green?

what colour do u like to have of the sky when it is clear?brown or red or yellow

I think its blue so it would be lighter in day time and its more refreshing, if its green it would be a little darker in our surrounding. Or maybe to combine with green color of trees and plants. Its kinda boring if you will look around and only one color you would see, right?
