is it healthy to transfuse blood?

some say i can never?some say i want to save lives,some say sure why shouldnt i take in blood.while some do it with some doubt i them selves.what would u do if ur child is at a point of death and need blood,but deep in you uve said i would never donate blood?

Yes it is healthy to donate blood or even have blood transfusion. This way your body will be creating new blood cells, eventually you'll feel more rejuvinated after some time. You'll even feel great as you have saved a life. Now in the case of someone who've said that he would never donate blood, I guess that's just there opinion but if the need arises definitely they would donate his/her blood especially if it involves his/her own child.

I don't think there's really any sound reason against the donation and transfusion of blood. I'm not currently a donor, only because they couldn't use my blood because of the 'herbal remedies' I smoke.

i agree there are problems with giving blood, especially in countries where people get paid for it, but generally speaking it is not only safe but saves lives and has got to be a good thing
