How did you propose your girlfriend or spouse?

I was in love with her from the past 3 years but never told her. It happened that she wasn't able to call me for around a week. I got restless and wasn't able to even sleep properly. When she called me finally I just told her that I love her very much and I've been loving her since the very first day we met.
She almost cried with joy and said that she also loved me and was about to tell me in some days.
That was how I did it . How did you propose your girlfriend or spouse?

we went to paris! no, just joking. well, at first i was just a friend lending a shoulder to cry on since she was clinging on her relationship with some guy and there for a time i didn't notice that her attention was on me already and then all we know is that were going out on dates already and there was this one instance when we were on the way home after going with her in the metro, i tried to pop the question and she was surprised. i got my answer three days later when i asked her a direct question. little did i know that it was already us when we were at the bus.

I told her on phone, but unfortunately she is not there with me any more, we had a very bad breakup.
