I don't get Yoga

I got a beginner's tape of yoga and I did it a couple of times. I really don't get it though. How does it help you lose weight? How can it have so many benefits? Did I do something wrong? lol

Yoga stretches the muscles, making you limber and helps you feel better. It will help to tighten you up, but not really lose weight. The benefits from Yoga are many, but you have to do it for a while before you begin to see them. Give it another try.
