do ROSES hav special meaning?

Roses to me usually means love. Well, a red rose. pink I think yes is sweet, yellow is sweet heart, and black is sympothy, or something like that. Every year on our anniversary my husband buys me a red rose for every year we were married and then puts a yellow one in the middle to let me know that after all of these years I am still his sweet heart!
