When can you tell that you're ready for marriage????

you're ready to marry when you can and is willing accept everything that he/she is! And most importantly, that you can assure yourself that yu can bare with it including the consequences that cometh....

I agree with Sage Mother......... when you feellike you are devoted to a person and can't imagine being without them you are ready

I think that age is a big one, but also maturity plays a big part. If they are immature, then definately not ready for marriage. I also think that it is best to wait until you are able to support yourself. Have a good job.

I would like to think that i would know when it is the right time to get married by simply by the way that i feel and also by the feeling that it is right and i am so in love with the person that i am with and i want to spend the rest of my life with that person

What i Have noticed is that when people are ready for marriage, they already "feel" married to those around them. The waytheyinteract, thenergy they send out all reflects a bond that has already formed. The actual ceremony is more about saying "I AM devoted to this person and this relationship", more than "I WISH to devote myself to this person and our relationship". It is based more on your actions and less on those feelings that youhear about in great love novels and fairytales. Thinking of marriage as "secular devotion" is probably the best way to describe the situation.
