Digital Cameras - How to select best one

If I were to buy a digital camera, I would be picky about the size, megapixels and the design. But thats my opinion.

When I bought mine I wrote a list of what I wanted in a camera went to a good camera place with a good reputation found a good saleman and said this is what I am looking for what do you suggest, he went along and said what camera had what and what camera didn't, not one camera had all what i was looking for so I had to make up my mind what I needed. then he asked what exactly I was doing with tha camera what sort of shots I would be using it for then he narrowed it down to two cameras and I had to make up my mind, so I picked an Olympus, small in size, 8mp, large screen, hot show on top in case I wanted to add an external flash, and it is the best thing I ever bought....

i have never idea for buying a camera. in my house my husband bought a camera not me
