What do you think are the nicest and most helpfull ways for husbands to help their wives around the house? I'm thinking about cooking dinners as I like to cook but can't seem to find any good recipes. I would like to make a pork dish tonight, maybe adobo, but don't know how. Help! Any other suggestions or do you think it's best to just stay out of her way and pick up after myself??

You may cook a dinner or you can also bring home dinner then you both can relax together and no clean up so you both win, but she will appreciate you either way as you are showing your love through acts of kindness. Great work. Your marriage will survive

washing the dishes - washing the dishes is one way for a husband to help at home.

it's nice to know that you want to give your wife a hand when it comes to chores at home. if you cannot cook, it's okey. there are lots of things to do else aside from cooking. when i had a one week vacation with my boyfriend, i am amazed that he washes the dishes for me and cleans the sink. it might sound simple but most men these days usually make women do everything at home. so, start with something that you know you can be of help of. your wife will surely appreciate it.

Pork Adobo (Serves 4) 11/4 lbs Boneless Pork Shoulder cut into 2" cubes 1 cup Water 1/2 cup White Vinegar 2 tbspns Soy Sauce 6 Garlic Cloves minced 1/4 tspn Pepper 4 tspns Vegetable Oil On a rack in a broiling pan, broil pork, 6 inches from heat source until rare (5-6 minutes). Transfer to 3 quart saucepan, add water, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and pepper, and stir well to combine, bringing to the boil over a high heat. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer until pork is fork tender (30-40 minutes). Using slotted spoon, transfer pork to plate and set aside. Increase the heat to high and cook pan juices, stirring occasionally, until liquid is reduced by half. Remove from the heat and reserve. In a 10" non-stick skillet, heat oil over medium to high heat; add pork cubes and cook, turning meat frequently, until well browned on all sides (4-5 minutes). Add the reserved pan juices and stir well. Cook until sauce is heated (about 1 minute). No, don't stay out of the way and pick up after yourself, if you want to help out. This is an easy-to-follow recipe and I'm sure she will be delighted that you've been thoughtful enough to cook dinner for you both. Other ways you could help out are by doing the dishes afterwards, taking her breakfast in bed occasionally, and doing the laundry/washing. If only all men were like you!!! lol. Good luck with the meal. I hope it all goes well for you. :-)

First I want to say GOOD FOR YOU! Wanting to help is the first step now you have to act on it. Yes, find a recipe it can be simple make supper and clean up when it is done. She will appriciate it..And yes ALWAYS clean up after yourself. If more husbands would do this the world would be a better place...
