I belong to Indian Family and I cook food in my house. My wife is doing it routinely but I like to help her a lot. But I am afraid of my Parents and other relatives as they make comments on it sometimes. Is it a bad thing ? I dont think so.Whats your opinion?

I am not very familiar with your culture, but I know that many Indian good cooks are men. I suppose they also cook at home, sometimes, although have wives...
It is traditionally the same in our European culture: the woman cooks for the family. Yet, most of the cooks are men :-)
And I am sure you respect your parents and relatives, but they also should respect you and understand that you are a grown up man and your house is your house. If you like to cook, why shouldn't you?

I am not well versed in your culture. What I do know is this. My wife and I both are good cooks. Either one of us will do the cooking. She works from 8AM to 4PM. I work from 2PM to 10PM. I will surprise her sometimes with supper. When we are both available we will sometimes work on a meal together. Neither of our parents would ever say anything against this arrangement. We would say that this is between the two of you, nobody else.
