I am a nanny for five children and yesterday a father came to pick up his two kids and I told him the little girl had really bad diarrhea and the little boy was really gassy and he looked at me and told me well i hope they arent like that tonight while i am babysitting them??? The parents are married and these are his kids. Today I told him the same thing and he said oh well their mother is at home she can deal with it. I couldnt believe it. I asked him if his son had started having rice cereal in his bottles and he told me your going to have to ask their mom that is just too much for me. What is this all about? What am I supposed to do?

i assume that the mother feeds the kid. i'm not assumming that the father doesn't care for his kid, maybe he was not around when feeding time happened. sometimes it happen to us because we're not at home and when the doctor asks what my kids have eaten, i can't answer because i really don't know. it's the grannies who take care of them when we're out.

Ok I see your point. But my problem is that if that was true then he should have told their mother about the problems I was having with them instead of tuning me out, I talked to their mother and he hadn't even told her about anything until she called me that night and asked me about the day. Then when she asked him about it he told her i don't know I wasn't even listening.
