At what age should children oearn to do their laundry ?

My answer would be "as soon as possilble" ........ what about you ?

To learn to do it all on their own I would say 10 or 12. But to start helping and figuring it out I would say 5 or 6. You want to still be able to use your washer and if they break it, you have a bigger problem on your hands then if they fold their laundry!

I feel they should begin learning very young. My two yr. old granddaughter tries to fold wash cloths when it's time to fold. My daughter's two boys could do laundry by themselves at the age of 9 as long as you reminded them of each step before they began.
