Study Latin

What do you think about the study of Latin? I have studied Latin for five years and now I'm stdyng it at the university. We can learn a lot of things with the Latin: we can learn better the Roman history and we understand the Italian language. But now the Latin is a died language.

I've always wanted to study Latin. Unfortunately, there aren't sufficient materials here in the Philippines that would help me learn =(

As long as you put it to good use, it's all good. I had a boyfriend who studied Spanish for at least 7 years and never uses it. He won't even help a Mexican who's trying to order something from a snack bar. And here I am, Filipino who's language is only a little bit similar to Spanish, helping the guy out.
