i really get migraines when the heat is unbearable and i just can't get out of bed when i have it. I really hate it. I found a relief though,i would say that arcoxia is the best medicine for headaches or migraines it doesn't have any bad side effect unlike ponstan which gives you a sour tummy afterwards. doctors are stopping the use of ponstan. so be cautious.

I get migraines all throughout the year. They are really horrible and when I get them, I really can't do anything except sit or lie in a completely dark, quiet and cool room. I take a prescription medication for them, but it takes it about an hour to take effect. That hour that I have to wait is torture. There is absolutely nothing that helps until the medicine kicks in. I really do hope that others have better success in manageing such a painful condition.

Warning : most efficient medic against migraine have a "rebound" effect, meaning that after being used for some time -- say several years -- they create a new migraine soon after taking them (usually after a couple of days). Moresoon

I have never heard of either of these medicines? My husband suffers from migraines and takes hydrocodone and has recently started going to the chiropractor. He says it helps him a lot. Where do you live, are you in the states? Let me know more about these medicines please.

i live in the philippines. here's some additional info about arcoxia-good for migraine rather than ponstan: for osteoarthritis recommended dose is 60 mg/daily for rheumatoid arthritis 90 mg/daily for acute gouty arthritis 120/daily for 8 days.

Well , the pills won`t resolve this problem for ever. You need to rest very much and to forgive about TV,PC,loud music and so on for few days, let`s say,2-4 days , more, the better. Also take a lot of C Vitamin and drink coffe , wich will speed up your blood . And don`t froget about pills for memory. Even if I sayed about pills that won`t resolve for ever , this could help you for a very much time . So , I hope that you`ll be healthy as sooon as posible .

Try to take barley juice. It has been helping many women from this problem. I used to have migraines too. These past months, I cannot remember any moment suffering from it. Have enough sleep, too and of course, rest once in awhile is also recommended especially when you are so much exposed to computer and yes, over heat. So avoid the culprits.

I've suffered from migraines all my life and I have many triggers including when it's too hot. I've never heard of arcoxia or ponstan so have no idea on those but they might not be offered in my country. Usually if I have to take a perscription medicine I take Midrin. That works very well for me.

Migranes are really terrible. It is worst than getting a normal headache. I suffered from migrane for many years. Doctors often presribe ponstan to me. As much as I did not like it, I had to take it failing which I cannot even work properly. However, I realised now that my work pressure produced stress and it led to my migranes. I am progressively learning to take it easy on my work load. One of it is trying not to bring work back home. Another one is worrying too much. Anyway, it will not help to solve problems.
