How is it that a soccer player can walk in to the United States and be worth a quarter of a billion dollars. There is definitely more to the contract than just soccer. Does the entire soccer industry in the United States even come close to this figure. Is MLS in the United States banking on soccer finally catching on in the contry? With the addition of Beckham perhaps this may open some eyes for some on the fence soccer fans in the United States. I know I'd rather watch soccer than baseball anyday. With all the bad press baseball is recieving in the U.S. for steroid use there maybe a huge shift in the coming years.
