Have you heard of people selling their body organs(mostly kidneys) to get money?

My mother needed a kidnet transplant and several people from overseas tried to sell me thei kidney. here are several resons awhy it is bad. 1) You would have to go overseas to do the surgery because in the USA such surgery is illegal and is a punishable crime. Going overseas depending on which country may not have ame safe protocols and practices, this puts bothe the donor and recipient at risk. In many cases the donor is very sick and is never the same after the surgery which ruins their quality of life, becaus ethey are unable to afford the follow up care involved or the medicines to pay for ongoing care. You can nver get paid enough money for your kidney, out of the country a lifetime of follow up care can cost you obver $5 million dollars. In the US insurance would pay these costs , out of teh c ountry unless you sold your kidney for over 5 million dollars, then you got ripped off!

I never thought it is that complicated. I've always looked at it as a simple matter of going to the doctor and go under the knife and get your money. It is illegal here too but people are doing it. Thanks for your reply.
