Both my friend and I have driven from Ma to Wa or vice versa alone. I live in Ma and she in Wa. We have driven it together a number of times. I am planning on going to Texas in a month or so to see my aunt and uncle. I will be going alone, almost. I plan to take my 2 chihuahuas with me for company. The trip will be about 2000 miles each way, about 30 hours each way. I love looking for funny signs when I take a trip too. Have you seen any? Some people think I'm crazy for going places that far alone..doesn't bother me a bit.. What do you think..would you, could you??

More power to you dear. I would be so scared. I have no sence of direction, and cannot understand a map. I will get lost going around the corner. Hehehe. Just be careful at night. Don't let stranger near or get into your car. Enjoy your trip and be safe.

Oh, no I would never pick up anyone hitchhiking or let anyone I didn't kown in the car. I always practice safe travel. I leave early in the morning so I don't have to be out alone when it gets dark. That way I can get a hotel room when it's still light and see a little bit of the town I stay in. I much prefer traveling with someone, but it's not always possible.

I hate driving 3 hours so 3000 is out of the question either by myself or with someone. I hate being in the car on the road for long periods of time. i would have to take a plane.

I could and would, but I would make sure someone else knew my route, and that I had plenty of money for motels. If I drive without my hubby I get there a lot faster, as I stop less, sleep less, and drive faster. I think if you are a smart traveller, you can be safe anywhere.

I don't think I could do it, I'm not much for long road trips anyways, they tend to stress me out, and I dont know that I could do it that far, and alone.
