my husbands cousin is sixteen she is currantly dating a 21 year old. Her mother is fine with it and even leave them home alone for long periods of time. he picked out an engagement ring and everything. he also tells her what she can and cannot wear. my opinion is that someone who is 21 is not interested in a friendship with a 16 year old. what is your opinion? what age difference do you think is to much?

i don't think it seems fair when he is telling her what she can and can't wear, really it's up to herself on what she wears, if the girl's 16 and he's 21 there doesn't seem to be a problem, just as longs as there both happy being together!

My wife is 14 years younger than me; and our age difference has not caused us any problems. I can brag that my car is older than my wife!

If he is already telling her what she can and cannot wear we know who the dominant one will be. The next thing he will be telling her is who she can and cannot see. This does not sound good at all. To me it sounds as if he has found the perfect person to manipulate. That is rather sad. As far as age differences I think 2-3 year age difference is good.
