Australia

I poped into my local grocery store on the 1st January, only to be confronted in the bakery section by Hot Cross Buns. We no sooner get Xmas & New Year out of the way & Easter is creeping in. Who else thinks Marketing is starting earlier & earlier??

Yep I saw this also. I think it takes the excitement out of the occasion. I can't think in Australia that we would want to buy the eggs early as by the time easter arrives they would be a melted sticky mess. They are trying to get every cent they can out of the festive seasons which I think is wrong.

My thoughts exactly, I’m in Qld Australia & if I bought Choc eggs early they would be melted by Easter, or if they were put in the fridge they would go the icky white colour..

Easter marketing today??? Unbelivable!!! Some years ago I remember that there was Christmas gifts from 8th December, now there are from half November. The marketing runs, now the Christmas holiday are finished and they think at the Easter for make money!!!

I have only seen Valentines Day up at this point. The stores do tend to rush early most of the time though. I guess they feel with all the computition out there, that they want to take a jump on the action. Yes, marketing is starting earlier and earlier.

I think it's getting absolutely ridiculous these days. Why do they need to start the Easter marketing so soon?.It puts added pressure on families I feel because the young children are wanting their Easter goodies and it's too soon.

I think because valentine's day is not such a big ocaission in Australia we rush straight into easter. The longer the marketing period the better they say. Ridiculous if you ask me. I only ever get easter eggs about a week before anyway other wise they melt or get found around the house.

It's crazy how early they are starting with some of it. We had stores selling Christmas stuff in September here and the new year wasn't even here yet when they started with Valentines. Now Easter stuff is on sale. It's crazy. How many people actually buy things that early on. Most might buy gifts but those aren't the seasonal items. It's just too much too soon on them.
