what are things that are fun to do, but doesn't cost boat loads of money. My friends and I are poor college students and never have any money.

The library has tons of free entertainment. We get all our books, cds, and dvds there. They also sponsor free events and concerts. Look up local museums...many of them have a free admission day. Our local radio stations' websites have points programs to earn free tickets for events like concerts and movie previews. My friends and I get together about once a month and have a game night. We pool together our board games and each bring a food dish. I always check out the free local paper for free area events like the gallery hop that's held once a month here. Stores are open late so people can browse galleries and window shop. People watching is always a fun and free activity too.

Okay, I've got some ideas on what you can do for fun that won't be too expensive. Why not grab a board game or something like that? There's a ton of those games on the market and there should be one that fits with what you guys like. There's another idea. I know personally I'd love to have more board games for the times when me and my other half are bored out of our minds. It would help to give us something fun to do in our down time or when we can't find anything else to do. Of course there's the idea that you could just pool some money together and try to put together a movie night or something. Three or four of you sit down and one person is responsible for drinks, one person for snacks, one person to take care of renting the movies and someone to take care of the meal. Nothing has to be real expensive...you guys could do a cheap casserole for dinner followed by a meat & cheese tray for the snacks. If you guys do it right, you shouldn't have to spend an arm and a leg to do any of this. What about playing an outdoor sport with your friends? I'm sure you can get your hands on a baseball bat that was relatively inexpensive as well as a couple baseballs and a couple gloves. All you need after that is an open field and some good weather. I'm not that into sports but I figured that might be an option. You can always check out the local newspaper and see if there may be some free exhibits at local museums. If you plan it right, you could end up going on almost a museum tour that was made up by yourself. I know that there are plenty of galleries and museums that have little or no charge to get in, so that would definitely help. I know there's bowling alleys and pool halls all over the place and sometimes they'll have nights where they charge one low price to play all night. There's a place here where on Mondays you pay $10.00 and it's all you can bowl from 7pm until closing. That might be another fun, low cost idea. Finally, there are certain places where you can go and watch local bands play live music for free. There's another idea of somewhere to go and do something that doesn't hurt your pocketbook after all. In conclusion, I hope these suggestions give you some idea of inexpensive ideas for fun. I'm sure there are more things that you could do, but these were the ones I thought of. I hope I've been able to help you figure out some ideas for cheap fun. Thanks for allowing me to share. xx
