It wasn't staged but it was definetly planned. The guy who did it wrote his wife a letter saying he had molested some gilrs 20years ago and he had the urge to do it again. Apparently he blamed god and the girls for letting it happened. As if he had no control over himself. It is the saddest thing I ever heard. Those poor girls had no idea of what the world was like, especially because of their sheltered non-violent existance in the Amish community. They probably had no idea that people behaved in such a way. Heartbreaking.
