Ireland - Beautiful Ireland
I was born and educated in Dublin and then moved to Kildare in 1984. Kildare is famous for fishing, golfing, horse racing and hunting. I live quite close to the Curragh and Punchestown Racecourses, and also to the Irish National Stud. Not too far away is the Japanese Gardens which experts say are the best of their kind in Europe and are a great attraction to visitors. Just 10 minutes by car from where I live, is the Kildare Hotel and Country Club, where the Ryder Cup matches were held last year. Unfortunately I was in the UK while the matches were being played, so I missed all the excitement. The weather here might give you the impression that you are swimming through an airborne ocean, but the beautiful flowers, green meadows with luscious green grass, and afternoons holed up in riotous pubs, will more than make up for the webbed feet that you will need to grow for your visit.
