Does anyone have a good, moist, chocolate cake recipe to share? Most chocolate cake I make from scratch does not come out the way I like it. I am still searching for a good recipe.

You'll like these. Try them! Here's the quickie Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake: INGREDIENTS: 1 - 18 ounce chocolate cake mix 3 eggs 1 cup water or milk 1/2 cup mayonnaise (Increase mayonnaise to 1 cup if cake mix has pudding mix in it.) PREPARATION: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.** Combine ingredients with a hand mixer on low. Continue beating on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake for 30 - 35 minutes. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely before frosting. ** For 9 x 13 pan - bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Cool completely in pan. ** For Tube pan - bake for 40 - 45 minutes. Cool in pan for 20 minutes. Remove from pan. Ok! Now here's my mother's Made from scratch Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake: Makes: 1 deep 9 x 13 pan or 10 x 14 pan Ingredients: 4 cups (950 ml) flour 2 cups (475 ml) sugar 8 tbsp (125 ml) unsweetened cocoa 4 tsp (20 ml) baking soda 2 cups (475 ml) water 2 cups (475 ml) mayonaise (I use Miracle Whip) 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla Preparation: Mix all dry ingredients together. try out this one dear 35 min 10 min prep Change to: cake US Metric 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup cocoa 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup shortening 1 3/4 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 tablespoon hot water 1 cup cold water Sift together flour, cocoa, and salt. Cream shortening and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in the vanilla. This is a very old recipe. We like it unfrosted, but it could also be baked in 2 (8" round pans and frosted. Very moist. Dissolve baking soda in the hot water. Stir into the creamed mixture. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with cold water. Beat well after each addition. (I make 5"dumps":dry- water- dry- water- dry). Bake in a greased and floured 13" X 9" X 2" pan for 20-25 minutes at 350F.
