I am looking for some new recipes that are easy and kid friendly. I am getting tired of pizza and spaghetti and nachos and chicken alfredo. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! I just tried to post a recipe and when I tried to post it, it didn't go through. sigh* It was a recipe from the new Kraft Food and Family magazine. It was yummy! I'll try to find the link for you tomorrow and post where you can sign up for the magazine (it's free) if you want to. Best!

just change the way you present your recipes like for pizza, use left over foods like chicken, ground pork or any thing ok for pizza, same with spaghetti, instead of preparing ground beef why not try the corned beef in can, spam. also jelly o with diffrent flavours, the kids will love the colors if it s cubed and added to mango juice or strawberry juice.. or make some toppings: rice with hotdog and lettuce, rice topped with chicken barbecue

I'm sure they would like this: what you need is olive oil, ditalini pasta, plum tomatoes, fresh basil, and fresh mozzarella, and garlic. Cook the pasta like you normally would. Meanwhile you heat up a little olive oil, saute the garlic , add the chopped tomatoes, till just heated through, add the pasta, stir, turn off the heat and then add the basil and mozzarella (cut into small pieces). It's quick, it's not bad for you, and I'm pretty sure kids would like it. I do. =)

I just made this the other night and it was a big hit. The recipe calls it sloppy joe squares but hubby and I were saying you could do it with taco meat and it would be just as good. You'll need 2 cans of cresent rolls, a pound of ground meat, sloppy joe seasoning and 2 cups of shredded cheese. In a 9x13 pan roll out the first can of rolls. Don't take them apart, just put it down as a sheet. Smush it a little bit so it goes up the sides of the pan. Spread the prepared meat on top of the rolls, then top with cheese. We both agreed some olives would have been good. Now unroll the second can of crescent rolls and lay it on top. Bake in the oven at 350 for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cut into squares and serve.

How about making stir fry it's a healthy and filling meal and not to hard to make just takes time if u make it from scratch. i usual make it with lots of vegetables, steak meat, and just add rice with it.Or you could make sheppards pie that a pretty simple but tasty meal only requires potatoes, meat and whatever vegetables you wanna put in it.

Pasta is really good for kids and my grandkids love it. There are all sorts of variants which can be added to it, sauces and vegetables, meat and fish. This one might be a hit with them... and it's quick and easy: AMERICAN CHOP SUEY (Serves 8) INGREDIENTS: 1 1-pound box elbow macaroni 1 medium onion, chopped Olive or vegetable oil 1 pound lean ground beef Salt and pepper 1 28 ounce jar pasta sauce 1/4 cup, plus garnish, grated Parmesan cheese 1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Saute the onion in a little of the oil, then add the meat and cook over medium-high heat until done. 2. Drain the grease from the pan, then add salt and pepper to taste. 3. In a large saucepan, combine the sauce, the 1/4 cup of cheese, and the beef mixture and bring to a simmer. Add the pasta, turn off the heat, and let it set for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. 4. Finally, garnish individual portions with the additional grated cheese. Bon appetite!

Ribs for Kids SUBMITTED BY: Valorie Walker "'This is one of my standby recipes,' reports Valorie Walker of Bradley, South Carolina. 'I always have wieners on hand, so it's easy to dress them up with a tangy homemade barbecue sauce to create these 'ribs' that youngsters love. They're delicious served over rice, and leftovers reheat well,' she adds." INGREDIENTS 1 medium onion, chopped 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 cup water 1 cup ketchup 1/2 cup cider vinegar 2 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons ground mustard 2 teaspoons paprika 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce 6 hot dogs Hot cooked rice DIRECTIONS In a saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender. Stir in water, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, paprika and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Cut hot dogs in half lengthwise and then widthwise. Place in a greased 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Top with sauce. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until heated through. Serve over rice.
