Has anyone tried using turmeric to heal wounds

Turmeric has got many medicinal properties it heals the wounds even if you have got a bad cold it helps if you drink turmeric milk has anyone tried this out

Tumeric is thought to be a good antioxideant, antiskin cancer (especially melanoma), inflamation. It is my understanding that there is a low incidence of skin cancer in India where you live because a lot of people eat tumeric. Do you eat tumeric, Nancy?

Turmeric is very good and we use it in India for almost every dish, I saw on the TV show Larry King also that if turmeric is used it helps to keep away Alzheimer's also far away,

the consumption of tumeric and the dishes in which tumeric is used in is known to reduce the occurence of cancer and improve general health, however, the tumeric must be consumed, it is not known whether the topical application of tumeric on external wounds aids in the healing of the wounds
