What do you think of the name Evan?

We named our son Evan. It was a name we both liked because it was easy to say and spell. He is now 9 months old and it seems a good name for him. When we told my mother-in-law, while I was pregnant, that we had decided on the name Evan, she said she didn't like it. First of all, I thought that was rude. Anyway... she said it sounded like an old person's name like Ira. What do you think?

Evan is a nice name. It's also short and easy to remember and call. The sound of it is friendly. Don't let your mother-in-law get to you. Perhaps she is a bite jealous of you.

it is a great name for a boy but I wouldnt name a girl that, I also think it doesnt matter to anyone but you and the child

Evan an old person's name? Personally, I think Evan sounds like the name of a young man. Maybe it's because I grew up watching "X-Men Evolution" and one of the teen's name was Evan I like the name Evan. It's always been one of my favored names for males.
