Well, I don't trust my bank, I only use it because I can't pay some taxes with my money but I like to use a savings account. And you, do you trust your bank ?

Sadly, gone are the days when the banks knew you by name and actually cared about you. Now they are just in it for the $$

Nope! Do you know if you have a check and a deposit that hits your account at the same time, the bank will put that check through first! Yep, in hopes it may over draw your account. Then they put the deposit through and take out their charges for it! I hate banks, but what can you do. You almost have to have an account these days. So I just watch my account daily, sometimes I check on it 2 or 3 times a day. I use microsoft money to help me keep track of everything and i always keep a $50.00 cushion in there for mistakes.

I really had to shop around to find a financial institution that I like. And I've found that credit unions are more trustworthy than traditional banks. Here's an article about how to save money with banks: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/22679/4_ways_to_bank_frugally.html
