I would simply like to know if abortion is justified in any sense. A simple yes or no is fine, but would appreciate commentary.

I think it can be. I'm not sure justified is the right word though. Personally I believe it is up to the person getting the abortion. They may think its justified. I think you would have to be in the situation to determine it or not.

Abortions can be justified for medical reasons and if the woman is not prepared for parenthood; rather than having the child grow up in loveless family/single mother, financial difficulties.

I think it is a very personal choice. For me personally I am very against abortions. I know that my husband is too. There are tests that they like to run on pregnant women to check for certain birth defects. We always turn the tests down because the outcome would not matter. We would never abort the baby because of it. I do not think I have the right to tell someone else what is best for them or their body though.

From a man's stand point, I am nuetral on abortion. I am absolute on my belief that is is the woman's choice. That baby is technically a part of the woman, just as another internal organ until the unbilical cord is cut. As long as the child is attached to the mother, she has the choice to do what she will. I may not approve of that choice, but it is not my place to judge. She is the one who has to mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually deal with not having that child.

Mostly I think it depends on the situation but to put it simply: yes, abortion is justified at times. And I think it's better to do so early if a person must. I think it should be a personal choice and the government should not mandate values because how can the government know what's right for the mother-to-be? If she wants to get an abortion, I feel it his absolute right to do so.

I believe that it is 100% my responsibility and my right to do whatever I want with my body and with whatever comes out of my body... If I ever want to do an abortion, it´s my right, and nobody is authorized to prohibit it

Of course its justified...The reasons behind a womans choice to abort are many and who is anyone else to say what a woman should or shouldnt do at any given point with her body? Pro Lifers love to toss at me comments like "You dont care about human life" "You're a murderer" "you killed your unborn baby who was innocent" "you shouldnt be a parent if you can abort so easily" "you're horrible and you should be ashamed" etc etc etc and blahblahblah....I personally find it amusing to be honest with you. Mainly becuase the FACT of the matter is this...Not one of those ppl knows, nor will they EVER know what it was like at that point in time for not only me but my family as well..and UNTIL the day comes that they can look through our eyes, feel EXACTLY what we felt and live through that experience EXACTLY as we did....they dont have a bloody leg to stand on as far as I'm concerned...My abortion, as with many many women who've had to make that choice WAS JUSTIFIED more than that it WAS NECESSARY...It HAD to be done... Pro Lifers tend to forget that pregnancy involves MORE THAN just the fetus..Truth be told, what kind of person is a ProLifer REALLY when they CAN'T see past the unborn...when they DON'T care about the other very important ppl involved?

Personally I do not believe in abortion. But then again it is only my prefference. Abortion is a very hot topic for alot of people. I believe it should not be the womans choice because it took two to lay down and concieve the child then it should take two to make the abortion decission. Maybe the father wants to raise the child after all he did help produce the child and his genes are involved 50/50 with the mom. If the woman as well as the man doesnt want a pregnancy then they need to keep their stuff in their pants and keep them legs closed.

to each his own oppinion. But if the mother does not want the pregnancy than she needs to keep her legs closed cause nothin is full proof. It also takes two to lay down and creat so it should take two to make a decission like that. Unless of course the child is concieved through insest or rape then I can see the mother wanting an abortion and it being her choice alone. The old saying "you made your bed now lie in" goes along way.

well thats your choise and oppinion. I am sure you know how to prevent this problem. Also I dont know what your state laws are but here If you are married you have to have the spouses permission if you are married.

If the father wants the child, he's more than welcome to gestate it inside his own body. Until that happens, he has no right to dictate what happens to a woman or her body.

The end does not necessarily justifies the means. Abortion is always and will always be killing an innocent life.

when people say abortion I think why not birth control? People cant be lazy about prevention. Take responsibility, and dont make excuses. I dont think it is. I am listening to God and that is killing and the taking of innocent life. Many men do not like the fact that they are not even asked when many of their children are aborted without their knowledge.

I can only comment based upon my understanding of the Bible. There is an instance of God punishing a man for not consummating his union with a woman - leave alone conception. The trauma faced by any family having a pregnant minor notwithstanding - abortion is murder. Let us not forget that God is merciful and all powerful.

Not everyone will agree with me but abortion's isnt right. I know a few people who have been threw abortions even people in my family I cant judge them because thats not my style. But on a personally level my own beliefs I cant go threw with it, to kill someone who has done nothing wrong. What is weird is I thought about something tody when you die and go to heaven wont you see that unborn child you got rid of. Later SisterLove

How about incest or rape situations? I'm not incinuating, but I'm just wondering your stance on that.

If the victim has been raped and gets pregnant then surely abortion would be the most appropriate answer, but just coz you will not be able to afford taking care of the child needs does not justify it.
