Mommy, there is a Monster in the closet!

For the past week or so I have noticed that my son does not want to be upstairs by himself. He refuses to go up without either myself or his sister and if we go downstairs without him he will start to cry. Now he is only three but he never had a problem before with hanging out and playing in his room by himself. He is not the best vocalist yet so I really did not understand him when I would ask why. Finally tonight my husband and I "got it." All the closets are in the hallway and they are all very deep. My husbands closet is the deepest and there is a hole that is very big and leads behind the wall. This is where my son's Monster lives. We got a flashligt and showed him nothing is back their, I dont think he really believed us though. Anyways it got me thinking back to my childhood Monster. Mine was a clown that lived under my bed. I would have to start at one end of the room, get a running start, and leap onto the bed without coming to close to the edge out of fear that it would grab me and drag me under.
