its really difficult now to find partner with the same interests as once we called made for each other. You are right the term life partner has lost its shine in today's busy work schedule. Now a days if one marry its only the fill in the blanks situation. There is no meaning left now when we usually said that marriages are made in heaven and celebrated on earth, its lost it significance.

with a life partner you need to have the attitude that we together can achieve more than each individually. We can honor one another and work together toward accomplishments as family. That shouldnt make us less but more and as I have learned giving is the reward that returns tenfold when given freely and from love.
The bible says we should be equally yoked and I think this is something significant in this day and age when we must overcome societal influences and make a strong commitment to each other and building a strong family.

I was married 27 years to the one I took for life and I cared for her in her sickness for the last 13 years of her life. I lost her to illness and I have happily remarried because the first was so good for me. I think society has lost the importance of working together in a marriage for the good of the marriage and is more in a whats in it for me attitude. We are thinking to short term instead of looking into the future and our joy and goals achieved as family. Short term goals while fun may leave us short of fulfilling life.

I agree the marriages are made in heaven.
i had relation with few of the gals, but those came 2 end because of some certain reasons, it was not like we did not liked each other.
but we did not felt like becoming LIFE PARTNER of each other.
I have planned i will always be loyal to her.
She will be the only 1 in my life.
I m waiting 4 her eagerly.
I know i will find her only the day GOD has decided for our 1st meeting.
So your partners & marriages are made in heaven only.
