Football - what we lost in it !

Nowadays i found that football is no more longer a very attractive games compared to the previous decade. The game has lost it attraction due to certain aspect such as play to win or play not to lose the game. Just to recall the recent world cup 2006, the Africans really play a skillful game but they cant reached the final. Why ? If they qualified for the final, of course there will be no no spectators because their population is very less. so it will not be profitable to the host.
