PRINGLES SAFETY With more than 30 years of production history and optimisation of manufacturing systems and capabilities, Pringles snacks have become a fine art of quality and safety. In the European Union, food safety and quality is a highly legislated field so that foods complying with the legislation attain high standards of quality and safety. Pringles has a robust system of controls in place to ensure conformity with this legislation. This system involves regulatory safety and quality assurance (QA) assessments of suppliers systems, capabilities and formulations in the qualification of all raw materials used in making Pringles snacks and packaging. Pringles manufacturing facilities run in accordance with good manufacturing practice (i.e. GMP) and undergo Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, so called HACCP measures, to optimise their safety and quality output. Finally, our product supply systems also undergo equally thorough quality reviews to ensure optimum conditions of transport and storage for delivering Pringles to our trade partners and customers

Well actually there is no comparison between the two. Pringles are considered to be a potato crisp not a potato chip. Years ago when pringles first came out the other companies which make potato chips complained because pringles are made from dry bits of potato instead of fried fresh. So pringles got labeled potato crisp. My favorite happens to be Pringles but I thought I would share this information.

Um... I love both. But I have the tendency to eat chips from lays, particularly Ruffles original flavour. It's more tasty and the chips flavour more real compared to pringles. I used to buy pringles alot.. but then somehow, one day i found that the taste has changed. Thus, I kinda stopped eating it. But ruffles and lays potato chips are expensive :(

Actually I prefer Lays, because they have released a new variety of chips which are 100% made with olive oil. I think that the oil in which the food is cooked it's very important for our health. So I'm happy to see this, because until now many chip companies announced "with olive oil" but reading the small letter it said in the ingredients section "5% of olive oil and 95% of vegetal oil" (and it doesn't specify which oils are the vegetal ones). Anyway, I also like Pringles, but they don't have olive oil, at least that I know.
