What are the stuffs that you usually bring to recycle in your country/town? What would you do to green the earth?

We have a recycling program in our city. Each home has a bin and it is picked up weekly like trash pick-up. I use it for newspapers, plastics, coke bottles (2 lt.), coke cans, canned items, etc. It's easy to do, you just need to get in the habit! I think of it as protecting the planet!

Did you segregate the waste before you throw into the bin or they will pick up and do it later? I agreed with you that everyone just get in the recycle habit and it will help the planet!

If you have clutter and/or items around your house you dont want to be bothered with selling or taking to the dump - then Freecycle is for you at www.freecycle.org for a Freecycle group in your area. Freecycle is international. Recycle items to avoid overfilling the garbage dumps and make space in your home. One man's trash is another man;s treasure" truely applies here. I have given away so many things that I almost trashed that someone wanted and even came and carted it away. You can put in requests, too, and from there I received a free handicapped electric lift recliner worth over $400.00 someone didnt need anymore! The only requirement is that you cant give away forbidden items like explosives and such and everything must be FREE, you cant barter, exchange or sell. Try it yourself!

We recycle everything we can in our house. Paper, plastics, glass, cardboard which is picked up by our city for recycling. I recycle old clothes, books etc. We try to compost our food scraps. I also try to reduce packaging, by buying foods etc in bulk.
